The permanent screen for every other weekend

A big inflatable or LED screen is right for the grand final. It is overkill for a Tuesday night fixture in front of thirty people on the club terrace — and that is the majority of the sport a venue actually shows.

A permanent outdoor television covers the ordinary weekends with no setup, no staff time and no pack-down. Two specifications matter for sport. Brightness, because most fixtures are played in daylight and a terrace screen has to survive it — 3,500 nits and up. And refresh rate: most outdoor TVs run 60Hz panels, where a ball smears across fast pans. The Cinema Pro runs a 120Hz panel with a 5ms response, which is the difference between watching the play and squinting at it.
