An 80kg-capacity water-filled anchor, sold as a single unit. It is the heavier of the two capacities we stock, intended for larger inflatable screens and for sites that catch real wind — open parkland, foreshores, anywhere without a building or treeline to break the gusts.
Capacity is about the load the screen puts on the tether, not the size of the bag. Larger screens present far more surface to the wind, and the holding force needed climbs quickly with both screen area and exposure. If you are anchoring a big inflatable, or working somewhere the wind has a clear run at you, the 80kg unit is the one to specify. For smaller screens on sheltered ground, the 40kg version is usually sufficient and easier to handle.
Heavy-duty UV-stable PVC, flat and light when empty, filled from a standard hose once positioned. A built-in D-ring takes rope or ratchet straps. Because nothing is driven into the ground, it is the standard approach on concrete, pavers, synthetic turf and any surface a venue will not let you peg — and it drains and folds away at pack-down.
This listing is a single anchor. An inflatable cinema screen needs a minimum of four, so most buyers want the 80kg Set of 4 — singles are mainly for topping up an existing kit or replacing a damaged unit.
Why these anchors

Built for inflatable cinema screens, but just as at home anchoring marquees, gazebos, banners and event signage — anywhere you need ballast on a hard surface where you can’t peg into the ground.
Empty, it folds down to a flat sheet of PVC that stows in a corner of the trailer. No rigid, space-hungry blocks to find room for between events.
Fill it from a standard hose when you arrive and tip it out when you leave. You move an empty bag, not a block of concrete or steel — easier on your back, your vehicle and your load limits.
At least four — one per corner. Then size the total ballast to the screen and the wind. As a guide from our wind-load estimates, four 40 kg anchors suit a 3–4 m screen in gusts to about 30 km/h, four 80 kg anchors cover a 4 m screen in stronger gusts or a 5–6 m screen in lighter ones, and larger screens or exposed sites want more. Err on the side of extra ballast — the full table is in our anchoring guide.
No — fill to the ballast the day needs. An 80 kg anchor filled to 60 kg provides 60 kg of hold, and since anchors travel empty, many operators standardise on the 80 kg size and adjust the fill to the screen and the forecast. Capacity is headroom, not obligation.
On hard surfaces — concrete, pavers, decking or indoors — you can’t drive pegs into the ground. Water anchors give you the same hold-down without marking the surface, and they’re kinder to turf than stakes.
Each anchor has a built-in tether point / D-ring; connect it to the screen’s anchor points with ropes, ratchet straps or carabiners.
Yes — they suit marquees, gazebos, banners and signage too, anywhere you need ballast without pegging in.
You only ever carry them empty — fill on site from a hose and empty before pack-down, so there’s no lifting of solid weights.
