Rear projection film allows you to convert virtually any glass surface into a functioning projection screen by applying a thin, adhesive-backed film directly to the window. This makes it possible to display video content from a projector located indoors, while the image is visible from outside. The film works by diffusing the projected light evenly across the surface, delivering a clear, bright image viewable from the non-projector side of the glass.
This product is often used in applications such as retail window displays, museums, corporate foyers, and home cinema setups. For outdoor movie settings, it offers the advantage of keeping the projector safely indoors—protected from weather and theft—while audiences enjoy the film outside. The solution is also useful in space-limited environments or for installations where minimal visual impact is desired when the projection is turned off.
The film is available in several tint levels—clear, grey, and dark tint—to suit different lighting conditions and projection brightness levels. Grey and dark tint films generally provide higher contrast and better daytime performance, while clear film is less visible when not in use.
Maximum Width: 1.5 metres (film can be cut to length to suit your installation)
Available Shades: Clear, Grey, Dark Tint
Installation: Applied directly to the interior side of the glass; can be cut to fit most window sizes and shapes
Projection Type: Rear (image is projected from inside, viewed from outside)
Note: Price is calculated per square metre of film
For larger installations or unusual glass dimensions, multiple strips may be joined with minimal visible seams. Ambient lighting and projector brightness will affect final image clarity, so installation in shaded or controlled light environments is recommended for best results.
